Garage Door Repair Video - Extension Spring Door Maintenance
The following garage door repair video will show proper maintenance and
inspection of your extension spring garage door. All lubrication points are covered for springs, rollers,
hinges, pulleys, track and locks. Garage doors have many moving parts. It is
imperative that proper and regular lubrication is performed on your garage
door. Springs, rollers, hinges and pulleys are all critical
components to your garage door and they all need lubrication. Rollers both
rotate and slide back and forth in the hinge. The garage door track must be
lubricated regularly. Hinges will become loose in time and must be tightened.
Performing regular maintenance and lubrication on your garage door will save
wear on all moving parts. Additionally,
while doing maintenance and inspection on your garage door you will recognize
any excessive wear or worn parts. Replacing these parts before they completely
fail will save you time and money down the road. Always unplug and detach your garage door opener from your garage door before beginning any repair.

CAUTION: Garage door springs, cables, brackets, and other hardware attached to the springs are
under very high tension and, if handled improperly, can cause serious injury or death.
Do not attempt any repairs without the proper tools, instructions and safety equipment.
If you have any doubts about your ability to perform the work safely,
please contact a door professional to complete your repair. |
